The mission of the Georgia Christian School Alumni Association is to provide a forum for communication among graduates of Georgia Christian School (Dasher Bible School/Georgia Christian Institute) to promote more involvement with the school.
Annual Membership Dues: $25
Two Spouse Alumni Rate: $40
Recent Graduates (i.e. within four years of graduation from GCS): $10
It is open to GCS graduates, former and current staff, coaches, teachers and board members. Membership will include a GCS Alumni window sticker and quarterly newsletter. Other items may be available for members based on the decision of the Alumni Association. Dues will help cover the cost of producing the newsletter as well as the GCS Centennial Memory Book.

Alumni Projects
There have been several Alumni Projects that former GCS students have helped to complete (see below for some of the latest). All Alumni Dues will go towards this project. Stay tuned for the 2024 project!
Gym-New Lobby Doors
New Gym Lobby Doors Completed! (2022)
For 2022, the Alumni Project was the replacement of the Gym Lobby Doors. The total cost was $11,000 and thanks to so many Alumni, we were able to replace the doors before basketball season was over. Not only are the new doors more aesthetic, they have increased the level of safety. Thank you to all who have given and we encourage all Alumni to get/stay involved. You make a difference!
Gym Floor Renovation
Gym Floor Renovation Completed! (2021)
Once the gym roof had been repaired, it was time to focus on renovating the floor. It had been over ten years since the floor was stripped, sanded and repainted. We were able to complete the project before the 2021-22 basketball season began. This $15,000 project was made possible through alumni donations! Thank you for those that gave towards this project that impacts every student on campus.
Lacy Elrod Gymnasium Roof Repair
Lacy Elrod Gymnasium Roof Repair Completed! (2020-21)
One of the most iconic buildings on the GCS campus is the Lacy Elrod Gymnasium. Built by GCS Board members, parents, students and alumni, the gym impacts every student every year. It hosts volleyball, basketball, pep rallies, Open House, Christmas and musical programs, awards programs, Kindergarten Graduation, High School Graduation and more. Maintenance of this building is vitally important. We asked for your help to put a protective coating on the gym roof. The total cost was $8,000. Thank you for helping with this project and for supporting our mission!
Ralph and Helen Hamm Gym Lobby Renovation
Ralph and Helen Hamm Lobby Renovation Completed! (2018)
Thank you for helping us honor those to whom honor is due! The Alumni Association dues were saved for the Gym Lobby Renovation. We are happy to announce that it was named after the late Ralph and Helen Hamm (G-Daddy and Pam-Pam to most who knew them). It is highly unlikely that anyone has attended more Generals Basketball games than these two. Mr. Ralph had every newspaper clipping seemingly ever printed, filmed games for years, made collages with photos and articles that he gave to the school, and continued to attend games long after his grandchildren had graduated.
Our goal was to raise $10,000 for a new floor, new ceiling, and new LED lights in the lobby. We did it with your help! The lobby was dedicated at Homecoming on December 15, 2018. Thank you for helping us honor a couple that loved GCS and basketball so dearly!
