What is WOFSY?

W.O.F.S.Y. is a non-profit women's only organization for the students here at Georgia Christian School. They are headed up by Kristy James, president of the organization. The membership is $1 per month, $12 per year, $100 to become a lifetime member, or $500 to be considered a Pioneer. This fantastic group of women work hard raising funds by the annual Magazine Sale, Fall Festival Chicken Dinners, and the live auction in April. The money raised helps to purchase various items around the school. These items include:

-GCS's Very first Computer Lab, and updated computers through the years

-Remodeling and Updating the GCS campus

-New benches for the soccer field

-Permanent Record Software

-Books for both High School and Elementary Libraries

-Educational Magazines for classrooms

-Receptions for Kindergarten and Senior Graduations

-Educational Scholarships for Students

In the past, W.O.F.S.Y. also paid for a new school bus and to pave the road that runs through the school.
