High School Academics

At Georgia Christian School, we offer both College Preparatory classes as well as a Vocational tract. This helps students with both paths of ambition to achieve the learning experience for which they have a passion. With eighty percent of the career fields in this area filled with people with Vocational and Technical backgrounds, we feel that this is a viable path of success for our students. The College Prep classes involve foreign language courses, upper level math courses as well as a firm foundation in English, sciences and history courses. We strive to feed the knowledge of our students in either educational path.

Graduation Requirements

In the year 2012, the requirements for graduation will change, we are working with students to ensure they are on the right path to graduate as successfully as possible.  Please see the new graduation requirements.

AP Courses

AP classes will be offered in the 2009-2010 year with Jim Lee teaching AP Calculus and Jorge Brathwaite teaching AP US History.  This is a great program that will allow students the opportunity to become more prepared for their college experience.  The complete course descriptions and syllabus will be posted as soon as they are available.

Electives

Within the College Prep. and Vocational paths, we have a range of elective classes that add cross-curriculum education to the academic day. A Bible class is one of the electives that are in each student's schedule each day. We strive to balance higher learning in academics with a variety of electives for the best possible formula of our students' education.  To see descriptions of elective offerings, please see the Electives page

The Attendance Policy for Middle and High School has been changed, please see and be aware of the new policies for absences and tardiness. 

Dress Code:

GCS's Dress Code has been updated for the Middle School and High School.  Please be informed of the changes before you shop for school clothes.
